Farida's Art Portfolio

To start off our unit we had to practice with impressionism pieces that we paint ourselves, but they weren't just any simple paintings. Our teacher gave us simple colors which were blue, yellow, red, yellow, light yellow and white. Then we drew a rectangle and he showed us a blurry picture that didn't contain any details in it with dark colors that we had to mix with the primary colors we had, there was a process and levels to this picture and every level the colors changed and the details started showing clearly. at the end it turned out as a series of mountains in the sunset behind the school so at the end i tried my best to show the purple bluish sky with the sunset in the back and the fluffy clouds int eh sky.

The second picture was much harder because it was a picture an old city with many wires,a mosque and the top of an old house with many electrical wires, so it was challenging to paint it at the beginning but i had to mix many colors together to make the houses and the decorations on them. This was a very entertaining activity to practice and enhance our skills for the end of our unit
